Facebook provides “apps” for iOS (iPhone, iPad), Android and for Microsoft Windows.
Never, EVER install these apps. We already know that the smart phone apps are used to access your contact list and to track your location, everywhere you go. All of this collected data has been and is shared with a world of Facebook business partners.
Furthermore, the Android version of Facebook, which I did use in the past while traveling, is a memory and power hog that impacts your battery life. Facebook apps also display annoying and frequent “alerts” as their goal is to get you to check Facebook often, enhancing their ad revenue.
