Eric Schmidt made no secret of his desire to assist Hillary Clinton’s election. Peter Thiel made no secret at all of his wanting Trump elected. Both of their companies were using their global surveillance networks to influence elections. In effect, billionaires were working hard to control the information we received – and in effect, becoming the power behind the throne and controlling our democracies.

LONDON — Both Peter Thiel’s data-mining company Palantir and a daughter of the former Google chairman Eric Schmidt had connections to Cambridge Analytica’s misuse of Facebook user information, according to documents seen by The New York Times.
