Google News and Bing News use algorithms to collect news stories for their news pages. They typically identify important news by how many web news services cover the story, and use natural language software to “understand” content and create lists of related news stories. These story lists are then published on their respective news aggregator pages, often with an attached photo thumbnail that appeared with the linked news report.

Online news reports contain links to other news stories on other topics, and are illustrated with photos. Some times, the news aggregators pick an incorrect photo to illustrate their story link.
