At the beginning of the week, a Google executive’s internal email described how Google worked secretly in 2016 to get more Latino voters to the polls, in order to elect Hillary Clinton in 2016. Google believed that Latinos would vote overwhelmingly for Clinton. . Google also proposed using the Android phone surveillance system to track potential voters and use that to target voters to vote for Google’s desired candidates. (I was not able to find a copy of the actual email and can only link to other’s summaries.)

Later in the week, a video of a Google company-wide meeting immediately after the 2016 election was published online. At best, it shows Google executives behaving in odd ways and an organization behaving like a cult. At worst, there are quotes that suggest Google intends to use its resources to ensure that the correct candidates win elections and that Google’s “values” are pushed throughout the world.
