Emily Kumler is a fiction writer (empirically) for Boston Magazine. She has written an article claiming that “diabetics are essentially allergic to carbs” and therefore, the “cure” for diabetes is to not eat any carbohydrates.
She fails to note the difference between Type 2 diabetes (which is what she possibly knows about) and Type 1 diabetes. The report is so poorly done – and misleading – that it ought to be retracted.
She would have done better if she had at least given a cursory reading of the Wikipedia entry.
