Snopes is the self described online fact checker. They posted this item:

Um, the website Quillette itself says Andy Ngo is an editor and photojournalist for them; Snopes saying this claim is “self described” is bizarre.

There are videos, statements from his attorney, and both a video and reporting from Jim Ryan of The Oregonian showing him being attacked. Snopes twists itself into contortions to imply this was an alleged attack (maybe not real)  and that he might not really be affiliated with Quillette. What is Snopes thinking? This is poisonous for their reputation.
