With all crisis, reporting goes through phases. First they report on the incident until they run out of things to say. Then they report on the sub stories and sub groups of victims and rescuers. Soon the news is filled with anecdotal stories – both sad (someone died or lost their house in a fire) or heroic (the hard work of the firefighters). Finally, we get to the personality phase where the focus is on “people reporting”.

Hard to imagine we have reached that point but here we are! Hope this is a good sign 🙂
