I had been studying and observing social media propaganda since early 2014 and blogging my observations to a private blog that no one could see.

In February 2016, I saw a propaganda poster – which was spectacularly false!

Yet this poster was shared thousands and thousands of times on social media! People believed anything they saw on social media.

This poster confirmed my observation that social media had become the world’s most extensive, frictionless platform for the spread of propaganda.

This, then, was the birth of this blog – as it was not long after that I began making public posts.
