According to the CDC, 90% of those who contract Covid-19 wore face masks when required. According to COVIDcast at CMU, approximately 90% of the U.S. now wears a face mask where required.  In much of the country, compliance is near 95%. (Thus, when you hear officials saying “if only more people wore face masks”, you know they are just making stuff up – since nearly everyone already does.)

Nearly everyone is wearing a face mask. Nearly everyone diagnosed with Covid-19 wore a face mask.

But then we get these “gotcha” headlines:

The wording is obvious: if only they wore a face mask, they would not have Covid-19.

But the problem is, essentially everyone diagnosed with Covid-19 wore a face mask where required.

The media’s attempt to link a belief about face masks to catching the disease is a false correlation.

Indeed, the opposite conclusion is just as valid when we use journalistic logic: WEARING A FACE MASK CAUSES YOU TO GET COVID-19!

Science proves this – an astounding 90% of people who got Covid-19 were wearing a face mask!

And you wonder why no one believes the news media? Everything they do is about generating clicks. They have no concern for facts, evidence or logic or the importance of the story. It’s all about creating emotional click-bait to produce eyeballs for advertisers.
