Fact Check: Obituary of Kansas COVID Victim Who Died in Isolation Blasts Anti-Maskers

90% of those in Kanas are wearing face masks according to COVIDcast at CMU. Reporter Lydia Smith of perennial fake news site Newsweek, was incapable of doing this simple fact check, and instead, sources the entire story to a social media post on Facebook.

There are many stores like this, devoid of actual facts or evidence to support the allegations. It is not clear why this has turned into a propaganda meme. In my state, face mask compliance is now at 95%. Yet we still see bizarre claims that “if only more people wore face masks” the pandemic would be over with. This makes no sense.
