Nigeria blocks all access to Twitter
Twitter deleted a tweet by the President of Nigeria. Nigeria responded by blocking access to Twitter.
Twitter then says access to apparently Twitter, “is an essential human right in modern society”.
They can’t seem to see the contradiction in what they are doing as Twitter routinely cuts off many people from using Twitter.
We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society.
We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn

While Twitter is permitted to do anything it wants, it is more like a society-wide utility. Imagine cutting off someone’s water because you think (incorrectly) that the customer trafficked in misinformation?
In this case, Nigeria has the legal right to ban Twitter.
