Many of the “Twitter docs” take directions from White House

The White House has been enlisting Twitter doctors with large followings to influence public opinion around Biden’s messaging on Covid-19.

In other words, a government run propaganda campaign. To some extent, they might be conveying commonsense advice to the people, but on the other hand, this type of organization can devolve into a propaganda mill, particularly as those who stray from “the company line” start to become vilified outcasts.

And this: ““Some of them get paid to have takes.”

Considering that much of the guidance given out though the pandemic did not work, this suggests a failed endeavor. The policies work but they failed to communicate those policies properly, or the communications worked but the policies did not work. (In fact, for the record, WHO published a 91-page report on influenza pandemics, in October 2019. They concluded then that there was strong evidence that most of the mitigation measures had no effect on disease spread. If anyone wants, I can add a link to the report.)
