You mean a security guard?
In a lawsuit filed against the retail giant last year, Michael Mangum alleges that he was followed around a Walmart in Wood Village, Ore., back in March 2020 by one of the store’s asset protection associates.

For some reasons, use of the term “employee” became a bad thing – today, stores have “associates” and “team members” rather than employees or staff.
The Staffing Office was renamed “Human Resources” – because you are a “resource” and that makes you feel better!
And rather than refer to “Security Guard” we now have “asset protection associates” – a bizarre, longer term than the simpler Security Guard.
