Their argument is bizarre – we favor freedom of speech except when we disagree with the speech, therefore “we are not calling for censorship” but we are calling on the publisher not to publish the book.

Wow. That is literal gibberish.

And this note – it really is bizarre – seems a lot of people are opposed to censorship but in favor of censorship when it applies to anyone they disagree with. I’m so old, I was taught the response to free speech you do not like, is more free speech.
