Per some news reports, schools are banning some books – because someone on the right objected to them. Except that may not be true – at all. In fact, books may not have been banned and the connection to the “right” was tenuous.  This long Twitter thread covers a lot of ground and says almost all such stories trace back to a single organization claiming books were banned:
