84 million Americans are not going to lose access to Medicaid. The headline misrepresents what is actually happening in order to create a salacious, scary and untrue headline. This is the very definition of yellow journalism.
The Washington Post notes that many political press conferences are faked and stage managed, with reporter’s submitting questions or topics in advance, and then having staff prep the politician’s answers. The problem is this is a charade where reporters and politicians pretend to have a live, unscripted event – and misrepresenting this to viewers as something it is not. Reporters play along with this nonsense.
This report is a fine example of yellow journalism, leaving out context and crudely attempting to create a negative spin on everything. Idiocy on steroids.
Facebook found that it’s labeling of Covid-19 related posts, and attempts to link users to government approved messaging did not work.
