Misreporting by error of omission: “These 5 states have less than 10% of ICU beds left as Covid-19 overwhelms hospitals – CNN”

CNN runs a prominent news story about the 5 states where ICU beds available is less than 10%. They conveniently left out many states that are also in that situation, apparently to make a point about Southern states?

The news media’s sole focus on negativity is causing mass harm to the mental health of the world’s population. This is not necessary and is quite evil. In fact, the damage caused to mental health can itself lead to acts of violence – the media truly does have blood on its hands.

Poorly done propaganda using WYSIATI cherry picking: Al Jazeera gets an F on this one

Al Jazeera runs a column by a professor of philosophy who says capitalism is a failure and that only government can deliver the “innovation” necessary to deliver vaccines for Covid-19. Al Jazeera fails to note his background as an avid socialist member of groups opposed to the “neoliberal capitalist model”. Failing to disclose this background context turns this into a propaganda piece versus not legitimate analysis of issues.
